UV Pipe Relining at a Local School in Picnic Point, NSW

About The Project

Project Duration: 1 day

Ready Set Reline executed an intricate pipe relining project within the bustling environment of a Picnic Point school, overcoming substantial challenges to restore a damaged PVC line in just one day.

The Objective

The primary aim was to swiftly and efficiently address the damage to a 225mm PVC line at a school in Picnic Point, caused unintentionally by landscaping activities. The project demanded a solution that was not only quick and effective but also minimally invasive to the school’s daily operations.

The Challenges

The primary challenge was the unexpected amount of debris, including blue metal and rocks, within the pipe. This not only complicated the cleaning process but also extended the time required to prepare the pipe for relining.

Our Approach

Preparation and Cleaning

We started by thoroughly cleaning the damaged pipe using a high-pressure water jetter. This important step removed all debris and blockages, preparing the pipe for the next stage of relining.

Etching for Enhanced Adhesion

Next, we used a picote machine to etch the pipe's inner surface. This process is key to ensuring effective adhesion of the new lining material to the existing pipe structure.

Relining with Superior Materials

For the relining, we chose Magma Fiberglass, known for its durability. Completing the process, we applied our Speedy Light U.V system to efficiently cure the lining, guaranteeing a strong and enduring repair.
