Ready Set Reline (ABN 76 167 172 394) (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides pipe relining, drain cleaning, CCTV drain inspection and related drainage services across Sydney. We are based at 24/28 Barcoo Street, Roseville NSW 2069.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access, correct or complain about the information we hold. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

The information we collect

Most of the information we hold is what you give us when you ask for a quote or book a job.

Contact and job information

  • Your name, phone number, email address and postal address
  • The address of the property where work is required, and whether you own it, rent it, manage it or are acting for an owners corporation
  • What you have told us about the problem — blockages, smells, water damage, previous repairs, plumbing history
  • Quotes, invoices, job notes, warranty records and correspondence
  • Access details you give us, such as gate codes, key locations or preferred entry arrangements

Site and inspection records

Diagnosing a drainage fault means recording what is underground. As part of quoting and completing work we create:

  • CCTV camera footage of the drainage and sewer lines at the property
  • Photographs of the site, including excavation points, pipework, fixtures and surrounding areas
  • Measurements, pipe layout diagrams and condition reports

These records relate to the property, but they can identify a property and its occupants. We treat them as personal information and handle them under this policy.

Payment information

We collect the payment details you give us to pay an invoice. Card payments are processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.

Website information

When you visit our website we collect information about your device and how you use the site, including your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, how long you stayed, and the site or search that referred you. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies. See Cookies, analytics and advertising below.

Employment applications

If you apply for a job with us, we collect the information in your application — your work history, licences and tickets, qualifications, referee details and anything else you choose to send us.

Information about other people

Strata managers, real estate agents, builders and property managers often give us information about owners, tenants or residents so we can arrange access and complete work. If you give us someone else’s details, please make sure they know you have done so and that we will use their details to contact them about the job.

Sensitive information

We do not ask for sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act — such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, or membership of a professional or trade association. If you volunteer something of this kind (for example, telling us about a health condition that affects when we can access the property), we use it only for the purpose you gave it to us.

How we collect it

We usually collect information directly from you — by phone, through a form on our website, by email or SMS, in person at the property, or through a review or messaging platform.

We also collect information from:

  • Referrers, such as a strata manager, real estate agent, builder or plumber who has referred the job
  • Our own records from previous work at the property
  • Public sources such as Sydney Water sewer service diagrams and land title information, where these are needed to plan work
  • Insurers and loss assessors, where a claim is involved
  • Recruitment platforms and referees, for employment applications

If we collect your information from someone other than you, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.

If we collect your review via the Google My Business platform, we may feature your review on our website as well.

Why we collect it and how we use it

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to enquiries and provide quotes
  • Schedule, plan and carry out drainage work safely and correctly
  • Diagnose faults and recommend the appropriate repair
  • Invoice you and process payments
  • Provide warranty support and handle any later claim on work we have done
  • Communicate with you about a job in progress
  • Meet our obligations under plumbing regulations, work health and safety laws, and the requirements of Sydney Water and local councils
  • Ask for feedback or a review after a job is complete
  • Send you service information or offers, where you have not opted out
  • Handle complaints, insurance matters and legal claims
  • Assess employment applications
  • Improve our website and our services

We do not sell personal information.

Using job photos and footage in our marketing

Site photographs and CCTV footage sometimes make good examples of the work we do. We will not publish photos, footage or case study details that identify your property or you personally unless you have agreed to it. If you have agreed and later change your mind, contact us and we will remove the material from anything we control.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used and measure our advertising.

We use third-party tools that may set cookies or receive information about your visit, including:

  • Google Analytics — website traffic and usage measurement
  • Google Ads and Google Tag Manager — advertising measurement and remarketing
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tools — advertising measurement and remarketing
  • Google Maps and reCAPTCHA — location display and form spam prevention

These tools may set cookies that allow you to be shown our ads on other websites after visiting ours. They do not tell us who you are by name.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised Google advertising through Google’s Ads Settings and of Meta advertising through your Meta account settings. Blocking cookies may stop parts of our website working properly.

Who we disclose information to

We disclose personal information to:

  • Our staff and technicians, so they can do the work
  • Contractors and specialist trades we engage on a job, such as excavation operators, where the work requires it
  • Suppliers and equipment manufacturers, where a warranty or product issue needs to be resolved
  • Our software and service providers, including website hosting, job management and scheduling software, email and phone systems, accounting software and cloud storage
  • Our payment provider, to process payments
  • Insurers, loss assessors and legal advisers, where a claim or dispute involves the work
  • Strata managers, real estate agents, landlords or builders, where they arranged or are paying for the job
  • Government bodies, including Sydney Water, local councils and regulators, where required to complete or certify work
  • Anyone else, where you have consented or where we are required or permitted by law

Sending information overseas

Some of the service providers we use store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States, the European Union and elsewhere. This applies particularly to our website hosting, email, cloud storage, analytics and advertising tools.

Where we disclose personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Direct marketing

If we send you marketing material, every message will include a way to opt out. To stop receiving marketing from us, use the unsubscribe link in the email, reply STOP to an SMS, or contact us directly using the details below.

We will still contact you about a job you have booked, an invoice, or a warranty matter, because that is not marketing.

We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth).

How we keep information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include:

  • Password protection and access controls on our systems
  • Limiting access to job records to the staff who need them
  • Reputable cloud providers with their own security controls
  • Secure disposal of paper records
  • Staff instruction on handling customer information

No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will respond in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which may include notifying you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

How long we keep it

We keep job records — including quotes, invoices, inspection reports, photographs and CCTV footage — for as long as they are needed.

Because we warrant our relining work for up to 50 years, records of the work performed at a property may be kept for the life of that warranty. Being able to show what was installed, where, when and to what standard is what makes a warranty enforceable.

We also keep financial records for the period required by Australian tax law.

When information is no longer needed for any purpose, and we are not required by law to keep it, we destroy it or de-identify it.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct anything that is wrong, out of date or incomplete.

Contact us using the details below. We will usually respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing and explain how to complain.

There is no charge for making a request. We may charge a reasonable fee for the cost of providing access — for example, where you ask for a copy of a large volume of video footage.

A note on inspection footage: if you own the property, you are entitled to a copy of the CCTV footage from your drains. Just ask. If you are a tenant or a third party, we may need the owner’s authority before releasing it.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us first. Contact us using the details below and set out what happened. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:

  • Online: oaic.gov.au
  • Phone: 1300 363 992
  • Post: GPO Box 5218, Sydney NSW 2001

Anonymity

You can ask us a general question without giving your name. But we cannot quote a job, book work or provide a warranty without knowing who you are and where the property is.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on our website, with the date it was last updated at the top. If we make a significant change, we will make that clear on the page.
