Fantastic plumbing service for our property in Newtown! The staff were super efficient, friendly, and highly professional. They even went completely out of their way to finish the job quickly so I could reach a medical appointment on time. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends!

Helen Steinberg

I emailed on a public holiday about a non-urgent issue and ten minutes later had called back and booked me in for the next morning. They’re upfront about costs, really reasonable with no surprises.

Caroline Gates

I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They are reliable. They are knowledgeable. They make light work of some challenging situations and are very easy to have around.

Jay Wood

Their experience, advice and drive to go above and beyond meant so much at our time of need. Thank you for rescuing us from our disaster! You are absolutely awesome!

Sally Gorla

Luke was awesome, taking the time to show me where the issues were, clearing the storm water, and the best approach to address cracks. Highly recommended for any pipe or drainage issues.

Greg Duncan

In addition to the pipe relining, they fixed several other plumbing-related problems in our house with minimal fuss and at a good price. Would highly recommend them for all plumbing/sewage problems.

01

We find out why, not just clear it

A drain that blocks every few months has something structurally wrong with it, and on Inner West ground that is usually a sag in the line rather than what got flushed. The camera goes down before we quote anything, so you find out whether you are paying to fix a pipe or paying to clear one again.

02

WaterMark approved for AS/NZS 3500

Every reline uses a WaterMark-approved liner system installed to the AS/NZS 3500 series and the Plumbing Code of Australia. Ryan trained on the Brawoliner system at the factory in Germany and still quotes every job himself.

03

Our own crew and our own gear

Camera, jetter, robotic cutter and liner rig all on the one truck, run by our own team. On a narrow Inner West block with no side access and nowhere to park a second vehicle, that is the difference between one visit and four.

04

$20 million public liability

Well above the norm. On terrace blocks where the neighbour’s wall is your wall and the access point is inside somebody’s kitchen, it is worth having.

Inner West pipe relining

Bellied Pipes, Buried Lines and Camphor Laurels

The Inner West has a specific set of drainage problems, and none of them are solved by clearing the blockage.

The ground underneath has been moving for a century

Whites Creek, Johnstons Creek, Hawthorne Canal and the low ground along the Cooks River were filled in and built over as the suburbs spread. Fill does not settle evenly, and it keeps settling long after the house is finished. A sewer line laid across it develops a belly, a low section where water stops draining away and solids collect.

This is the pipe that blocks every few months. It gets jetted, it runs clear, and it blocks again in the same spot because the sag is still there. If you have paid to have the same drain cleared more than twice, a belly is the most likely reason, and a camera survey will show it as standing water in the line.

The line runs under the extension

Inner West terraces have been extended out the back more than almost any housing stock in Sydney, and on a narrow block the new room very often goes straight over the original sewer run. Once there is a slab on it, digging that pipe up means going through the floor of the room you paid to build. Relining is not the cheaper option in that situation, it is the only one.

Camphor laurels do not respect earthenware

The Inner West’s big backyard trees are frequently camphor laurels, and their roots are aggressive, shallow and wide-ranging. They find the damp air escaping a failed joint in an old clay line, work in through the gap, and keep growing. Plane trees along the street verges do the same to the section running to the main.

What you notice first is a slow toilet, a gurgle in the shower when the washing machine drains, a drain that clears after every plumber visit and blocks again by the following month, or a smell in the back yard on a warm day.

Relining rebuilds the run as one jointless pipe with the fall corrected, from inside, through one existing access point. No slab comes up, no ground is opened, and there are no joints left for roots to find.

Our Services

Pipe Relining Services in the Inner West

An Inner West sewer line is usually old clay, often sagging where the ground has settled, and frequently sitting under something that was built later. Every service below is a way of rebuilding it through a single access point.

Trenchless Pipe Relining

Our core no-dig service. We rebuild cracked, leaking or root-damaged sewer and stormwater pipes from the inside with a resin liner cured in place, creating a jointless pipe up to four times stronger than PVC, most jobs finished in a single day with no excavation.

UV Pipe Relining

A glass-fibre liner cured with UV light for a fast, precise, high-strength result. Because it cures on demand rather than by time, UV relining is ideal for a controlled, clean install with minimal downtime.

Pipe Patch Relining

For a single crack or a short damaged section, we seal just the affected length instead of the whole line, a targeted, cost-effective repair with no digging, usually done in a few hours.

Satellite Junction Repair

Where a branch line meets the main, we repair cracked or leaking junctions and boundary traps using our 3 way satellite junction repair system, a specialist no-dig fix that seals the connection and locks tree roots out for good.

Robotic Cutting

Diamond-tipped robotic cutters grind out tree roots, concrete, grout and other obstructions, and reinstate junctions after relining. They navigate multiple bends through a single small access point, leaving a smooth interior ready to reline.

Drain Cleaning

High-pressure water jetting blasts away grease, silt, debris and tree roots to clear blocked drains and restore full flow, the essential first step before any reline, and a fast fix for everyday blockages.

CCTV Drain Inspection

A high-definition drain camera pinpoints the exact fault, its location and its cause, and you get the footage and an honest report. Perfect for diagnosing recurring blockages or checking a property’s pipes before you buy.

Pricing

What Pipe Relining Costs in the Inner West

Pipe relining runs $500 to $1,100 per metre, and most complete residential jobs land between $3,000 and $20,000.

Worth doing the sum before you book another drain clear. A jetting visit on a bellied line buys a few months, and four of them over two years costs real money without fixing anything. The camera survey tells you which situation you are in, and it is part of the quote either way.

  • A sag usually means lining the whole affected run, not patching one point, because the low section is the problem rather than any single crack.
  • The camera inspection, high-pressure jetting and 12-month follow-up inspection are all part of the reline. No separate line item for any of them.
  • Setup is fixed regardless of length. It covers site preparation, safety and mobilising the equipment, which takes roughly the same couple of hours whether the run is 3 metres or 30. This is why a 5 metre job does not cost half of a 10 metre job.
  • The smallest full reline that makes sense is around $5,000. Below that a sectional patch is usually the better repair, at roughly $3,000 to $4,500 plus GST, and we will tell you which situation you are in. Note these are just estimates and we will confirm when onsite and give you an accurate cost and quote as every job is different.

FAQ

Pipe Relining Inner West FAQs

Expert answers on cost, timing and what actually happens to your pipes.

Usually because the pipe has a sag in it. Across much of the Inner West the ground is fill, over old creek lines and the Cooks River floodplain, and it has been settling unevenly for a century. A sewer line laid across settling ground develops a low point where water stops draining and solids collect, so clearing the blockage removes the symptom and leaves the cause. A CCTV survey shows a belly as standing water sitting in the line. Relining rebuilds the run as one jointless pipe and corrects the fall, which is what stops the cycle.
Yes, and relining is generally the only way. Because the repair is carried out from inside the pipe through an existing access point such as an inspection opening or a removed toilet pan, nothing above the pipe is touched, so a slab, a new room or a paved courtyard stays exactly as it is. This comes up constantly on Inner West terraces where a rear extension has gone over the original run, and it is the situation where excavation is genuinely not an option at any price.
Yes. High-pressure jetting clears the blockage and gets the drain running again, and for a one-off blockage from grease, wipes or a build-up of debris that is the whole job. Where it is worth going further is when the same drain has blocked more than once, because that points to something structural such as a sag, a cracked joint or root intrusion. We run the camera down after clearing so you can see which of those you are dealing with before deciding whether to repair the line.
