Ready Set Reline is highly reliable, incredibly efficient, and technically competent. Best of all, they are an absolute pleasure to deal with. I am very happy to recommend this team to absolutely anyone in the Sydney Northern Beaches in need of a genuinely good, trustworthy plumber.

Patrick McCarroll

Ready Set Reline just completed their second major sewer-pipe relining project for our Manly apartment block. Both of these massive strata projects were performed in a courteous, timely, and highly professional manner, coming in exactly at the agreed quoted cost. A fantastic local team!

Ross Elsom

Highly recommended! Ready Set Reline provided incredibly prompt and professional service when we needed it most. They even came out to our property during a huge, heavy storm just to fix our plumbing emergency. Thank you so much to the whole team!

Jitka Harris

The team arrived exactly on schedule and got straight to work. Even after 10 hours of working outside in terrible weather, they stayed completely dedicated until the job was done. It is so refreshing to see a professional crew who genuinely enjoys working together!

Neil Fraser

Absolutely great service from the entire team. They were highly professional, communicative, and an absolute pleasure to have in our house while they solved the complex plumbing issues in our older Federation-style home. Highly recommended for local properties!

Stephen Williams

A very efficient and friendly team! They arrived perfectly on time to install a stormwater pit and reseal our old, root-infested terracotta pipes. They did an excellent job explaining the process, left the site spotless, and provided a highly competitive quote.

Our own team, never a subcontractor

Our yard sits at the Roseville end of the Roseville Bridge, which puts Forestville, Frenchs Forest and Belrose about ten minutes away and Manly, Dee Why and Mona Vale inside half an hour. The reliner at your door is one of our own crew, not a call centre and not a different operator each visit.

02

WaterMark approved for AS/NZS 3500

Every reline uses a WaterMark-approved liner system installed to the AS/NZS 3500 series and the Plumbing Code of Australia. Ryan trained on the Brawoliner system at the factory in Germany and still quotes every Northern Beaches job himself.

03

Properly insured so your assets are protected

$20 million in public liability cover, well above the norm. It matters on the steep blocks at Seaforth, Balgowlah Heights and Bilgola, where the sewer line runs a long way down through terraced gardens and retaining walls. No residential, strata or commercial job is off the table.

Northern Beaches Pipe Relining

Why Northern Beaches Drains Keep Blocking

Drainage fails differently out here than it does inland, and most of it comes back to sand, water and slope.

Sand gets into everything

The beach strip from Manly up through Curl Curl, Dee Why, Collaroy and Narrabeen sits on sand, and so does the backfill around most of the pipes. Two things follow. Sandy fill settles over decades, which pulls pipe joints apart. And once a joint has opened, sand washes steadily into the line and settles in the low spots. That is why so many Northern Beaches drains block again a few weeks after being cleared. The blockage was never the problem, the gap letting the sand in was.

Groundwater and the lagoons

Properties around Manly Lagoon, Curl Curl Lagoon, Dee Why Lagoon and Narrabeen Lagoon sit on a high water table, and it climbs further after a wet week. Groundwater pushes into any crack it finds, which overloads the line, carries more sand with it, and accelerates the damage. If your drains run worse after heavy rain rather than better, infiltration is usually why.

Old pipe and steep ground

Post-war fibro cottages and 1960s brick veneer through Brookvale, Cromer, Narraweena and Manly Vale were plumbed in earthenware, laid in short lengths with mortared joints and rubber rings. On the escarpment blocks at Seaforth, Balgowlah Heights, Clontarf, Bilgola and Whale Beach, those lines run long and steep down to the street, often three or four metres deep at the boundary trap. Angophoras, banksias and coastal tea tree find the damp air escaping a failed joint and work their roots in through the gap.

What you notice first is a slow toilet, a gurgle in the shower when the washing machine drains, a drain that clears after every plumber visit and blocks again by the following month, or a smell near the boundary on a warm day.

The old fix was to dig it up. On a steep Northern Beaches block that means an excavator working down a terraced garden, retaining walls disturbed, sand backfill that has to be recompacted properly, and weeks of reinstatement. Relining does the same repair from inside the pipe.

Our Services

Pipe Relining Services on the Northern Beaches

Northern Beaches sewer line is usually old earthenware, often sitting under sand or running down a terraced garden. Every service below is a way of reaching it without going through what’s on top.

Trenchless Pipe Relining

Our core no-dig service. We rebuild cracked, leaking or root-damaged sewer and stormwater pipes from the inside with a resin liner cured in place, creating a jointless pipe up to four times stronger than PVC, most jobs finished in a single day with no excavation.

UV Pipe Relining

A glass-fibre liner cured with UV light for a fast, precise, high-strength result. Because it cures on demand rather than by time, UV relining is ideal for a controlled, clean install with minimal downtime.

Pipe Patch Relining

For a single crack or a short damaged section, we seal just the affected length instead of the whole line, a targeted, cost-effective repair with no digging, usually done in a few hours.

Satellite Junction Repair

Where a branch line meets the main, we repair cracked or leaking junctions and boundary traps using our 3 way satellite junction repair system, a specialist no-dig fix that seals the connection and locks tree roots out for good.

Robotic Cutting

Diamond-tipped robotic cutters grind out tree roots, concrete, grout and other obstructions, and reinstate junctions after relining. They navigate multiple bends through a single small access point, leaving a smooth interior ready to reline.

Drain Cleaning

High-pressure water jetting blasts away grease, silt, debris and tree roots to clear blocked drains and restore full flow, the essential first step before any reline, and a fast fix for everyday blockages.

CCTV Drain Inspection

A high-definition drain camera pinpoints the exact fault, its location and its cause, and you get the footage and an honest report. Perfect for diagnosing recurring blockages or checking a property’s pipes before you buy.

Pricing

What Pipe Relining Costs on the Northern Beaches

Pipe relining runs $500 to $1,100 per metre, and most complete residential jobs land between $3,000 and $20,000. Where a Northern Beaches job sits in that band usually comes down to two things: how long the run is, and how hard it is to reach.

  • Depth and slope matter more here than almost anywhere in Sydney. A steep block at Seaforth or Bilgola can put the boundary trap three or four metres down, and a long run to the street means more metres to line.
  • Setup is fixed regardless of length. It covers site preparation, safety and mobilising the equipment, which takes roughly the same couple of hours whether the run is 3 metres or 30. This is why a 5 metre job does not cost half of a 10 metre job.
  • The smallest full reline that makes sense is around $5,000. Below that a sectional patch is usually the better repair, at roughly $3,000 to $4,500 plus GST, and we will tell you which situation you are in. Note these are just estimates and we will confirm when onsite and give you an accurate cost and quote as every job is different.

FAQ

Pipe Relining Northern Beaches FAQs

Expert answers on cost, timing and what actually happens to your pipes.

Pipe relining on Sydney’s Northern Beaches costs $500 to $1,100 per metre, with most complete residential jobs falling between $3,000 and $20,000. Length and access drive the figure more than anything else, and steep blocks at Seaforth, Balgowlah Heights and Bilgola tend to sit higher because the line runs further and deeper to reach the street. Because the setup fee is fixed regardless of length, the smallest full reline that makes sense is around $5,000, and below that a sectional patch at roughly $3,000 to $4,500 plus GST is usually the better repair. Ready Set Reline camera inspects the line first, then gives you a fixed price in writing before any work starts.
On the Northern Beaches it is usually sand. Once a pipe joint has opened up, sand from the surrounding fill washes into the line and settles in the low spots, so clearing the blockage without repairing the gap only buys a few weeks. A CCTV inspection will show whether sand is entering the pipe and where, and relining seals the run into one jointless pipe so nothing can get back in. Tree roots and groundwater infiltration cause the same repeat-blockage pattern and are fixed the same way.
