A Sewer Pipe Relining Success Story in Willoughby

About The Project

Project Duration: 2 days
Ready Set Reline Pty Ltd recently completed an innovative pipe relining project in Willoughby, NSW, demonstrating our expertise in resolving complex residential sewer issues.

The Objective

Our client, having observed our work at a neighbouring property, approached us with a specific request. They needed an inspection of their sewer pipes and a quote for relining the problematic sections. The objective was clear: to address cracked and broken clay sewer pipes identified via CCTV camera inspection and provide a durable, effective solution.

The Challenges

Our path wasn’t without obstacles. The liner, sensitive to sunlight, posed a unique challenge. If exposed too long, premature curing could compromise the entire project. Our team’s adaptability and quick thinking came to the fore, devising innovative shielding methods to protect the liner from the sun’s rays.

Our Approach

Our detailed, two-day mission, covered a range of services.

Deep Cleaning with the Picote Machine

First up, we brought out the picote machine – think of it as a super-powered cleaning hero designed to prep the pipes thoroughly for the UV relining. This step was crucial to ensure that the relining process had the best foundation possible.

The Relining Process

Next, we focused on the main event: relining 25 metres of damaged sewer pipes. This part of the job had us working under a concrete slab near a pool, all while ensuring we met the high standards set by Australian relining codes.

Excavation and PVC Upgrade

Alongside the relining, we took on an excavation mission. We replaced a section of the old pipe with new PVC. This wasn't just patching up; it was setting the stage for more seamless relining work down the stream.

Our Solution: A Blend of Art and Science

We developed a solution that was as much about creativity as it was about technical know-how. It was about finding that perfect mix to bring old pipes back to life.

Lining with Precision

We laid the superior liner with utmost care and made sure every inch of those old, damaged clay pipes was covered, like wrapping them in a new, protective layer.

Setting the Scene with Epoxy UV Resin

Next, we worked on curing the epoxy UV resin. This step was all about timing and precision, ensuring a strong, durable new layer inside the pipes. And yes, we made sure everything was up to the mark, strictly following Australian relining standards.

The Finishing Touches: Robotic Cutter and CCTV

For the grand finale, we brought in our IMS robotic cutter and a CCTV camera. This was where we made sure every connection was perfect, and the whole system was running smoothly. It involved carefully coordinating the pipes, ensuring each part functioned correctly.
